Monthly Newsletter

October's 2009

Dear All,

October is one of my favourite months of the year. «Why?'»You may ask.

Because it's Halloween. It's time to dress up and pretend to be someone else.

One day of the year I can pretend to be someone totally different than myself and enjoy the experience of something new with my friends.

This month's workshop is inspired by Halloween and will explore the theme:

1) Who are you?

and

2) Who do you want to be?

Who do you want to pretend to be on Halloween?

Who would you like to dress up as?

Lady Gaga, Superman or your favourite Super-Hero, Witch, a famous actor or actress, Cinderella, a Mermaid, Cowboy or Cowgirl, a Vampire, Ali G., or Madonna or Boris Johnson - There are so many options!!!

What are you attracted to in the character that you've chosen?

How can you bring it into your life the side of this character that you are attracted to?

I will be be exploring this topic in this month's group session with an experiential exercise where I will help you tap into a past-life memory. You will have the opportunity to experience a different life experience that might help you look at your life with a new or different perspective.

Look forward to meeting you then. Costume optional.

With love,

Marta

For the Parents:

Did you know ...

That children during play are working out facts about their life and relationships?

Exercise:

Play dress up or role play with your child.

Maybe the child will be the mum or the dad or teacher and you can be the baby or the child. Allow your child to choose what they want to play and who they want to be.

Ask them who would they like you to be , and what you should do and react as that character. As if they are the directors and script writers of the play. Enjoy and have fun!

For the Adults

Did you know...

That knowing what you want, helps you achieve it?

Exercise:

Think how your improved self would be.

Write a list of the characteristics of your improved self.

Ask yourself : 'What can I change this month to move closer to that person I want to become?'

Then make a little change this week - it's not that hard to change;)! Just do it...
